Dr. Gordana Damnjanović
Assistant Mayor for Health and Social Protection, Human and Minority Rights

Dr. Gordana Damnjanović was born on June 27, 1962, in Kragujevac, where she completed “Svetozar Marković” Elementary School and the First Grammar School.

She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade in 1990, earning the title of Doctor of Medicine with an average grade of 8.21. In 2007, she acquired the title of Specialist in Health Management at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, where she defended her specialist thesis “The Importance of Introducing an Information System for Primary Health Care in Kragujevac Health Center” with a grade of 10.

She completed additional education and certifications at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade – School of Public Health, in the fields of Total Quality Management (TQM) and Public Health and Evidence-Based Preventive Medicine in 2006. She obtained certificates from the International Republican Institute (IRI) in communication skills (2006), as well as from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia and EPOS Health Consultants in the field of health promotion and community engagement. She also completed training at Queen’s University in 2009 in general principles of management, strategic planning, human resources management, team building and conflict resolution, leadership, and building an ethical healthcare institution. In 2015, she obtained a WHO certificate in “Public Health and Emergency Management”, and in 2021 a certificate issued by NALED, GIZ, and the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue titled “Inclusion of the Roma and Other Marginalized Groups in the Protection and Rescue System”.

She is a member of the Medical Chamber of Serbia and the Serbian Medical Association. She was an accredited lecturer of the Health Council of Serbia within the framework of continuous medical education, with lectures on communication in health institutions, treatment of persons with disabilities, persons with mental disabilities and the elderly, patients’ rights, and the application of legal regulations in the health system.

She has been permanently employed at the Kragujevac Health Center since 1994. Since 1996, she worked at the Central Dispensary for School Children’s Health Care, where, since its establishment in 2002, she has participated in the work of the Counseling Center for the Preservation and Improvement of the Reproductive Health of Young People.

Since 2000, she has served as PR Manager of the Kragujevac Health Center, while also continuing preventive work within the Youth Counseling Center and participating in the work of the Center for Prevention. She has participated in all project activities of the Kragujevac Health Center, as well as in the implementation of national prevention programs, national guidelines, improvement of preventive health services, and campaigns (“You Have the Right”, Capitation, Accreditation), where she was the leader of the Information Management Team. She also contributed to the development of the electronic invoicing program, introduction of the ZIS system, management of infectious medical waste, and the creation of the Health Center’s website and bulletin.

In 2008, she was the coordinator of the project “Providing the Health Center Kragujevac with Medical Equipment”, funded by the Government of Japan, and she was also engaged as PR in a major project of the Government of the Czech Republic in the Balkan region titled “Support for the Prevention of Cervical and Breast Cancer in Women from Rural Areas of the City of Kragujevac”, implemented in cooperation with the NGO “Oasis of Safety” (2010–2012).

Since 2009, she has been a member of the Intersectoral Team for the Prevention of Domestic Violence at the local level, and from 2010 to 2014 she was the coordinator of the Team for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect at the Kragujevac Health Center.

Since 2014, she has been a member of the City Council for Health Care, and since 2015 a member of the City Council for Health and Social Care. She performed this function in three consecutive mandates: 2015–2016, 2016–2020, and 2020–October 2023. During all three mandates, she served as President of the Health Council.

She actively participated in the work of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities’ health and social network, as well as in the preparation and implementation of the Law on Public Health. She has been a leader or coordinator of teams for the development of numerous strategies, action plans, and operational plans. She is a member of numerous working bodies of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, the Institute of Public Health of Serbia “Dr. Milan Jovanović Batut”, and UNICEF. She is a member of the organizing committee of the “October Health Days”.

She participated in the Assises World Congress in Brussels in 2017, titled “Regions and Cities for Development”, organized by the European Commission and the Committee of the Regions, where she represented the City of Kragujevac and took part in plenary discussions related to mental health.

In the field of human and minority rights, in 2015 she served as President of the Commission for Gender Equality, and today she is President of the Council for Gender Equality. Since 2019, she has been President of the Council for the Social Inclusion of Roma and Romani Women. In the field of combating human trafficking, she serves as President of the Team for the Prevention of Human Trafficking, as well as President of the Team for the Prevention of Begging and Underage Marriages.

She has been the coordinator of numerous projects and programs, including the ReLOaD regional programme for local democracy in the Western Balkans, projects implemented in cooperation with the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) in the field of Roma inclusion, including the ongoing ROMACTED programme with the Council of Europe, as well as the Delta Holding project for the Center for Sports and Recreation of Persons with Disabilities “ISKRA” (2016).

During the COVID-19 pandemic (2020–2022), she served as the Coordinator for the implementation of anti-epidemic measures for the City of Kragujevac.

In two mandates, she was a member of the Socio-Economic Council and chaired two property commissions related to leasing business premises.

She has received numerous recognitions and awards, including: “Lady of the Year 2015”; awards and acknowledgments from the Ombudsman of the Republic of Serbia (2016, 2021, 2023); recognition for the promotion of gender equality (2021, 2022); the SUBNOR Medal (2021); the “Filip Višnjić” Charter (2022); and certificates of appreciation from the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and international partners for her contribution to improving the position of vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Dr. Gordana Damnjanović is a volunteer of the Red Cross of Kragujevac and a member of the Circle of Serbian Sisters. She is engaged in humanitarian work and is a member of several civil society organizations.

She speaks English and has computer skills in MS Office and internet use. She is married, a mother of two daughters and a grandmother of two girls and two boys.

Vasiljka Mikić
Assistant Mayor for Intersectoral Cooperation and Coordination and Programs Supporting Children and Youth

Vasiljka Mikić was born in 1988 in Belgrade. After completing Grammar School in Čačak (social and language stream), she graduated and earned her master’s degree at the Faculty of Philology and Arts of the University of Kragujevac, Department of Serbian Language and Literature, obtaining the title of Master Philologist (Serbian Language and Literature). In 2020, she enrolled in doctoral studies at the Faculty of Education in Jagodina, specializing in the Methodology of Teaching Serbian Language.

She built her professional career in educational institutions as a teacher of Serbian Language and Literature and Civic Education. She worked at Primary Schools “Živadinka Divac”, “Mirko Jovanović”, “Dragiša Mihajlović”; Medical School “Sestre Ninković”, the private secondary school “Viva Asja”, and the Secondary School of Economics. She is currently engaged at Primary School “Đura Jakšić” in Kragujevac. As a participant of the Young Leaders Academy in 2024, she actively works on her professional and leadership development, regularly attending seminars and professional training programs in the field of education.

Throughout her long-standing pedagogical work, she achieved notable results with students at language and literature competitions at all levels, as well as numerous awards in literary contests, including recognition at the international competition “Wealth of Diversity.” She participated in the preparation of tests for young talents at the Center for Education. In addition to her teaching activities, she distinguished herself as an organizer of numerous cultural events and literary evenings in Kragujevac, and as a philologist she has provided proofreading for a published book. She expresses her social engagement through volunteer work within UNICEF, participating in humanitarian actions and community-benefit projects.

She is the author and co-author of several professional and scientific papers, including:

“Attitudes of Primary and Secondary School Teachers in the Teaching of Serbian Language and Literature Regarding Distance Learning During the State of Emergency Caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic”;

“Method of Diagnostics of Complex Diagnostic Systems, Their Maintenance and Condition Forecasting”;

“Review of the Thematic Issue of the Journal Uzdanica: The Nature of Multiple Intersections in the Work of Grozdana Olujić”;

“Digital Education in Primary Schools in the Republic of Serbia.”

She speaks English and has a working knowledge of Spanish. In her work, she skillfully uses modern digital tools, including the MS Office package and statistical data processing software (SPSS).

Stefan Bulatović
Аssistant Мayor for Тourism

Stefan Bulatović was born on December 11, 1995, in Kragujevac. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Kragujevac, where he earned an MA degree in International Economics.

From 2011 to 2016, he actively participated in various social projects in Kragujevac, contributing to the organization, development, and implementation of events and initiatives for young people.

Since 2016, he has been an entrepreneur and the founder of the "Index Pizza" brand, which successfully operates in six cities in Serbia.

He speaks English.

Mag. arch. Dušan Soković
Assistant Mayor for Architecture, Urban Planning and Construction

Dušan Soković was born on January 22, 1951, in Kragujevac, where he completed "Stanislav Sremčević" Elementary School and the First Grammar School.

He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade, where he defended his Magister’s thesis on the topic: “Experiences in the Implementation of the Aerodrom Residential Complex in Kragujevac and Recommendations.”

He worked with second-year students on the subjects of Residential Architecture and Urbanism, providing lectures and consultations during the 1973/1974 academic year at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade.

Between 1982 and 1986, he served as President of the Committee for Construction and Water Management within the Republican Committee of Science.

He contributed to the preparation of the Report on Capital Facilities within the framework of the State Revision Commission, including:

  • Avala Tower
  • Rajićeva Hotel and Commercial Complex, Knez Mihajlova Street, Belgrade
  • Lepenski Vir
  • Nanocenter, New Belgrade (12,000 m²)
  • and numerous other facilities

He was President of the Commission for Validation of Building Services for buildings of special importance, including:

  • The administrative building of the Đerdap II Hydroelectric Power Plant, Negotin
  • Hotel Grand, Kopaonik Mountain
  • Restaurant “Ruski Car,” Knez Mihajlova Street, Belgrade
  • and many other buildings

He has participated in several domestic and international congresses. At a symposium at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade in 1994, he presented the paper “Reshaping Residential Functions and Forms”, after which he gave several invited lectures on this topic.

In collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade, he has published a number of scientific and research papers in the field of residential architecture.

He has participated in numerous domestic and international competitions in architecture and memorial complexes, receiving several awards and recognitions.

He was awarded the Captain Miša Anastasijević Charter in 2009 for his contribution to the urban development and aesthetic improvement of the City of Kragujevac.

In recognition of his exceptional achievements, he was also awarded the Charter of the Association of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Association.

Over his career, he has realized over 250,000 m² of various building types, including:

  • Residential complexes
  • And numerous other projects

Mirko Čikiriz
Assistant Mayor for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities

Mirko Čikiriz was born in Guča on January 21, 1963.

His ancestors were originally named Krsmanović, and during the period of standardization of surnames in Serbia, the family adopted the craft-based surname “Čikiriz”. The surname was introduced by the renowned Serbian stonemason Radosav Krsmanović, who established it as the permanent family name.

He completed his primary and secondary education in Guča. He performed his military service in Pula and Ilirska Bistrica from 1981 to 1982.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Kragujevac in 1988, earning the title of graduate lawyer. He completed his legal internship at the law office of Jasmina Nikolić and passed the bar exam in 1995.

From 1996 to 1998, he served as Secretary of the Municipal Assembly and Secretary of the Municipal Administration of Lapovo. From 1998 to 2008, he worked as a legal representative and Head of the Litigation Department at “Takovo Insurance” in Kragujevac.

He regularly attended the Kopaonik School of Natural Law (1992–2008) and seminars in Insurance Law in Palić (2002–2008). He also participated in an international seminar on car insurance and authored a seminar paper titled “Cranio-cerebral Injuries: A Judicial-Medical Perspective” (Insurance Law, Zlatibor, 2008).

From 2008 to 2016, he served as a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in three consecutive terms (2008–2012, 2012–2014, and 2014–2016), and was ranked among the most active MPs.

He was a member of the Committee on Constitutional Issues and Legislation and the Committee on Child Rights. He was a deputy member of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Expenditures, the Committee on Kosovo and Metohija, the Committee on Defense and Internal Affairs, and the Committee on Health and Family.

As a member of the Committee on Constitutional Issues and Legislation, he participated in study visits to the European Court in Luxembourg, the State Duma and the Kremlin in Russia, as well as to the parliaments of Luxembourg, Hungary, Poland, Belgium, and North Macedonia. As a deputy member of the Committee on Defense and Internal Affairs, he visited Brussels on several occasions, including visits related to internal police control, the NATO headquarters, and meetings with EU delegations.

He was the goalkeeper of the National Assembly football team at several international parliamentary tournaments in Europe.

From 2017 to 2020, he served as State Secretary at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Serbia and participated in numerous working groups and commissions of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Justice. He headed the Serbian delegation at the conference on the Copenhagen Declaration in Copenhagen, attended by Ministers of Justice from European countries and Russia, and led the state-religious delegation at an interfaith dialogue in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

In 2020, he began working at the Judicial Academy in Belgrade. He completed media training at NDA in Belgrade in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

From 2020 to 2023, he served as Assistant Mayor of Kragujevac for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities.

He was Vice President of the Serbian Renewal Movement from 2005 to 2017 and Deputy President of the Movement for the Renewal of the Kingdom of Serbia from 2017 to 2022. He is the President of the Movement “Kragujevac – Capital of the Kingdom of Serbia”.

He is the author of three documentary films: “Hidden Kragujevac History”, “Forbidden History”, and “Ravna Gora Women – Black Scarves”.

He speaks Russian and English. He is married and the father of two daughters and one son.
