A reception for students of three elementary schools in Kragujevac who were awarded at the International Art Competition of the Chinese Province of Jiangsu (2021) and their teachers was organized at the City of Kragujevac. Twenty one students from schools “October 19”, “Jovan Popović” and “Dositej Obradović” were awarded, and the awards and diplomas were presented by Dušan Aleksić, a City Councilor in Charge of Education.
This is a competition between friendly countries and cities. Pupils from over a hundred cities participated in the competition organized by Jiangsu province. The topics of the competition were related to the improvement of cooperation between cities, the spread of friendship, understanding, tolerance, etc.
Our students have participated in this competition for the third time and each time they have achieved remarkable results. Unfortunately, in previous years, the competition was organized during the pandemic, so the children who won the prize did not have the opportunity to meet the other participants and hosts of this competition. We hope that in the coming years this cooperation will be improved and expanded and that children from different parts of the world will have the opportunity to meet each other and exchange experiences – said Aleksić.
