His Excellency the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Serbia, Christopher Hill, for whom Mayor Nikola Dašić hosted a reception, visited Kragujevac today.
The city of Kragujevac is known for its history, and I would say that it will also have a very bright future, said Ambassador Hill, after the meeting with the Mayor. Referring to the City’s commitment to investments, including the State Data Center and the opportunities for future investments, he pointed out the advantage of being able to get from Belgrade to Kragujevac in about an hour.
When I talk to people about education, I often find out that they graduated from the University of Kragujevac. Kragujevac is ready to attract young people and investors and I am happy to be here today, Ambassador Hill said.
It is a great pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet and speak with His Excellency the Ambassador of the United States of America, Christopher Hill. We openly talked about many topics, such as the cooperation of our countries throughout history, the two World Wars, but also about how Kragujevac cooperates with the American Embassy today, primarily through the American Corner that was opened in 2005 in our Public Library. Today's meeting was an opportunity to recall the programs that were implemented and those that are ongoing, but also to discuss future cooperation, said Mayor Nikola Dašić.
After the conversation with the Mayor, the Ambassador of the United States of America, Christopher Hill, visited the Museum "21. October" and laid a wreath by the Monument to the Shot Students and Professors in the Memorial park "Kragujevački oktobar" in Šumarice.
