The international investment conference "New investment opportunities 23" was held in Kragujevac today, which brought together representatives of the European Union, representatives of embassies in the Republic of Serbia, representatives of international and national financial organizations, representatives of cities and municipalities from the country and the region, successful international companies, state and international institutions with the goal that in a time of high technological progress that requires extremely fast adaptation, all participants connect and support each other in the fight against challenges. With this conference, we promote not only Kragujevac, Šumadija and Serbia, but the entire Western Balkans as an undiscovered gem that foreign investors and developers are just discovering. We need to introduce all major investors from all parts of the world to the resources we have, workforce capacity and potential, in terms of equipped locations in one place, which is the See Invest Expo fair that we will organize next year. Instead of investors and developers traveling around the Western Balkans looking for locations, we will present all our projects and yours in one place - in Kragujevac. That is why it is important that we gathered today, to get to know each other, but also for the city of Kragujevac to present its positive experiences and thereby encourage other municipalities and cities in the region to do the same or similar things, said Mayor Nikola Dašić, welcoming the participants of the Investment Conference. The participants of the conference were presented with national and international support programs, examples of good practice and already successfully implemented projects and programs. Support programs were presented by the Development Agency of Serbia and the EBRD, and examples of good practice were presented by the MIND group, the companies Sunce Marinković and Energetika Kragujevac. Two panel discussions were also held. One of the topic was Why Serbia/Western Balkans is a good investment location and in which direction the potentials should be developed, while the other was about the development of industrial/technological parks in Serbia. The investment conference "New opportunities for investment 23", as an introductory event for the "SEE Invest EXPO 2024" fair, which will be held next year, was organized by the city of Kragujevac with the support of the Development Agency of Serbia, the Regional Agency for Economic Development of Šumadija and Pomoravlja and the Šumadija Fair.
