Decathlon, one of the world's largest sports equipment chains, opened its fourth store in Serbia in the Big Fashion Center in Kragujevac. The opening ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Kragujevac Nikola Dašić with his colleagues, a delegation from the French Embassy led by Ambassador Pierre Cochard, and Michel Kappler, CEO at Decathlon for Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia.

Kragujevac is the third city in Serbia, after Belgrade and Novi Sad, but the only city below the Sava and the Danube where Decathlon, a large French chain of sports equipment, opened its store, said the Mayor of Kragujevac, Nikola Dašić.

The importance of the event is also confirmed by the presence of the ambassador of France who is visiting Kragujevac today, which is a confirmation that Kragujevac is a city which is seriously working and developing, not only in the industrial area, but also in new technologies that are attractive for new investors. In this sense, Decathlon, as one of the world's largest sports equipment companies, decided after market research that Kragujevac is the place where they want their store, said Mayor Dašić.

Kragujevac, as the center of Serbia, is a university center and a dynamic city with visible investments and excellent living conditions. These are just some of the reasons why Decathlon opened the store, in addition to the common passion of our people for sports, said the Ambassador of France to Serbia, Pierre Cochard.

Michel Kappler, CEO at Decathlon for Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia reminded that Decathlon is open in 1800 stores in more than 70 countries, and that Kragujevac, after Belgrade and Novi Sad, is an opportunity for our company, unique and different from any other sports equipment companies.

Decathlon Kragujevac is a place where you can buy equipment for more than 40 sports. On more than 1,400 square meters of sales space, more than 35,000 products from various sports brands are offered. The opening hours of the store in the Big Fashion Center are every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
