The Mayor of Kragujevac, Nikola Dašić, and Bart Canini, on behalf of the company "CRENEAU INTERNATIONAL" from Belgium, signed today a Memorandum of Understanding, which begins the process of analyzing and researching the potential for joint development of the hospitality industry.
We signed a Memorandum of mutual understanding and support, because the representatives of the Belgian company during their previous visits noticed Kragujevac's potentials that can be developed, and which I expect in the hotel industry, said the Mayor of Kragujevac, Nikola Dašić. Kragujevac could get a new hotel with several categories, because that is what Kragujevac lacks. Countless times until now, guests from Western and Arab countries have gone to Belgrade or Vrnjačka Banja, because there is no hotel of high categorization in Kragujevac where they could spend the night. In order for a Belgian company to come to Kragujevac, it is necessary to do a study, and the University of Kragujevac is recognized as an institution that can fully help and support them in the preparation of the study, said Mayor Dašić, and added that they are also interested in investing in the Prince's Arsenal and in some other locations.
CRENEAU INTERNATIONAL is a serious Belgian company which, among other things, is bringing other companies with it and developing some new directions. They brought the Belgian company Jaga, a world-renowned manufacturer of air conditioners, to MIND Park in Kragujevac. They are planning to open their headquarters so that they can spread the Belgian startup in our area, Mayor Dašić added. He expressed satisfaction that investors recognize Kragujevac in the right way and come here because they have a reason to do so.
We have been in Serbia for more than a year and we have visited the whole country exploring its potentials, and we really liked Kragujevac because we recognized in it something similar to Toscana. There is beautiful nature here and a lot of opportunities for the development of hospitality industry and economy. It is a region with a bright future, said Bart Canini from CRENEAU INTERNATIONAL. Here we saw opportunities for our investment and we believe that there is a lot of room for the development of the hospitality industry. This is what we will collaborate on with the local self-government, and then create a feasibility study that will give us answers as to what is best and what we will invest in.
