The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Vladimir Orlić, the President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić, and the emissary of the President of the Republic of Serbia Milorad Veljović came to share with the people of Kragujevac the memories of the victims of the shootings on October 21, 1941 at the traditional anti-war manifestation "The Great School Class" in Šumarice, Kragujevac.
A prayer for the martyrs of Kragujevac is served by Bishop Jovan of Šumadija with the clergy of the Eparchy of Šumadija, after which wreaths will be laid near the Monument to the Shot Students and Teachers.
Actors of the Princely Serbian Theater will perform the poem "Šum, Šumarice", based on the text by Darko Cvijetić and directed by Marko Misirača.
Since 1963, “The Great School Class” has been held at the Monument to the Shot Students and Teachers. At first only recitals were performed at the event, and since 1971, musical and stage works of art have been performed. The first poem which was performed was “Crni dan” (“The Black Day”) by Duško Radović, composed by Konstantin Babić and directed by Zdravko Šotra.
