Out of a total of 7.8 billion euros for the Leap into the Future – Serbia EXPO 2027 plan, 1.2 billion euros were allocated to Kragujevac. The Northern Bypass is the most significant project in Kragujevac, which, in addition to relieving the city of heavy traffic and pollution, will open up new areas for investments. The first phase of five kilometers of the Northern Bypass is the most significant since a new industrial zone of 150 hectares is planned along its route. This will significantly contribute to bringing in direct domestic and foreign investments.

The construction of the Gruža Corridor, which will connect Kragujevac with the Morava Corridor and the Miloš Veliki Highway, is also expected to begin. This will make Kragujevac a key traffic hub in Serbia, directly connected by the E75 Belgrade - Niš highway to the Western part of Serbia, Mayor Nikola Dašić pointed out as a guest on RTS's Morning Program.

Dašić announced that a new, modern stadium, as befits the FC “Radnički”, the City of Kragujevac and Šumadija, will be built not far from the Northern Bypass, which will move the traffic jam out of the city center, while the existing "Čika Dača" stadium will remain as a training center.

The most important economic news for Kragujevac and Serbia is the beginning of the production of the new Grande Panda electric car at the Stellantis factory. With a current surplus of 111 million euros in trade with Europe, Šumadija continues to lead, and new production capacities will further strengthen our leadership position.

I see both Serbia and Kragujevac as centers of new green technologies in the future, and the production of the Grande Panda is perhaps the first step in that direction.

I see Serbia as a country where healthier, renewable energy resources will be provided. Lithium, as an important strategic raw material in Europe, is attracting more and more interest. I believe that the discussion about its use will return to a scientific framework, which will enable Kragujevac and Serbia to attract new investments and raise the industry to a higher level - said Dašić in RTS's Morning Program.
