At the international “Belgrade Women’s Conference – RISE 2025”, held in Belgrade and dedicated to women’s empowerment as a prerequisite for societal progress and a sustainable future, the City of Kragujevac was represented by Dr. Gordana Damjanović, Assistant Mayor for Health and Social Protection, Human and Minority Rights; Ms. Ivana Obradović, Head of the Department for Human and Minority Rights, Gender Equality, and Prevention of Human Trafficking; and Member of Parliament Ms. Nataša Jovanović.

The event brought together ministers, representatives of international organizations, the business community, and experts from various sectors and countries, with the aim of improving the status of women, strengthening solidarity, and fostering partnerships.

RISE 2025 is a new international platform that places women at the heart of political and economic dialogue on sustainable development. It serves as a meeting point for diverse visions and experiences — a forum for jointly shaping policies that create opportunities for women, ensure their rights, and eliminate barriers.

One of the conference panels was organized in cooperation with the United Nations Office in Serbia.
