The City of Kragujevac has received EUR 8,750 from the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation for the “Mobile Diagnostics for All” project. The agreement was signed today at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Belgrade by H.E. Mikhail Pavuk and Mayor of Kragujevac Nikola Dašić.
The project is supported through the 2026 Small Grants Call in the Republic of Serbia and aims to improve the quality and accessibility of emergency medical diagnostics through the procurement of a wireless ultrasound probe for the field operations of the Kragujevac Institute for Emergency Medicine.
The donation will be used to procure a wireless ultrasound probe and organise a final professional conference on gender equality in emergency medicine and the importance of accessible emergency healthcare for all, while the City of Kragujevac will contribute EUR 600 towards the provision of a tablet with the appropriate software required to operate the ultrasound probe.
The new equipment will enable ultrasound diagnostics to be performed directly at the scene of an intervention, in the patient’s home or while emergency medical care is being provided, particularly for patients with limited mobility or those who are immobile, as well as residents of rural and hard-to-reach areas. This will enable faster assessment of a patient’s health condition and timely decision-making on further treatment and transport, particularly in cases of suspected internal bleeding and acute abdominal and cardiopulmonary conditions.
The project manager will be Dr Jelena Pavić, Member of the City Council for Health and Social Protection.
