The final conference of the European URBACT Pioneers Accelerator (UPA) program brought together representatives of numerous European cities, urban development experts and project partners in Sarajevo today.
The 18-month program, which aimed to demonstrate how Western Balkan cities apply the EU principles of sustainable and integrated urban development in practice, brought together 27 cities from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.
Today’s event provided an opportunity to present the results achieved, share experiences and exchange best practices in the field of sustainable urban development. Certificates of recognition were formally presented to all participating cities for the successful implementation of pilot actions and their contribution to the development of sustainable urban policies in the region.
On behalf of the City of Kragujevac, the certificate was received by Danka Andonovski, Member of the City Council for International Cooperation and Local Self-Government.
