At the Monument to the Slovaks, located within the “Kragujevački oktobar” Memorial Park complex, following the anti-war event The Great School Class, the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Serbia, H.E. Mr. Michal Pavuk, accompanied by representatives of the City, laid a wreath.

Representatives of the Slovak Embassy come here to Šumarice every year to pay tribute to the victims of Kragujevac of the Second World War. It is an honor for me, on this occasion - as well as every time I visit Kragujevac, which is at least twice a year, in June and October — to visit this place, the monument to Slovak soldiers from the First World War, said Pavuk, adding that this monument is a symbol of mutual respect and the good relations between Slovakia and Serbia. Preserving the memory and sharing a joint anti-war message further strengthen the ties between our two nations.
