The Ambassador of Spain to Serbia, His Excellency Juan José Sanz Aparicio, visited Kragujevac today. The reception for the Ambassador, held at the City Administration building, was organized by Dejan Ružić, Deputy Mayor, and Danka Andonovski, Member of the City Council in charge of international cooperation and local self-government.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to enhance bilateral and economic cooperation, as well as to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries. Both sideshighlighted the importance of developing partnerships in the fields of business, education and culture, noting that there is considerable potential for closer cooperation between local institutions and organizations.
This year also holds particular significance in Serbian–Spanish relations, as it marks 110 years of diplomatic relations between Spain and Serbia, formerly Yugoslavia.
